CRAFTSMANSHIP SINCE MING DYNASTY

Our journey started from an ancient sauce shop in Foshan, where we brewed our first crock of soy sauce over 400 years ago. For generations, we’ve been producing soy sauce with natural fermentation craft. We’ve come a long way from a small shop to a global company, but we never forget why we started: to provide our customers the best condiment.

1950S: LAYING THE FOUNDATION

In 1955, 25 local sauce shops in Foshan merged to form the Haitian Factory.

One year later, we launched our famous Mushroom Dark Soy Sauce, which is still one of the most popular choices of condiment in China today.

1960S: INNOVATING TRADITION

In 1961, we started fermenting soy sauce in concrete pools instead of crocks. This bold and innovative move helped us better control the quality and made massive production possible.

1970S: ENGINEERING EXCELLENCE

In 1971, we put China’s first vacuum bottling machine for soy sauce into use.

In 1973, Haitian began cultivating its own Aspergillus strains for fermentation, which lay the foundation of the nowadays “Haitian strains” patent.

1980S: EXPANDING PALATES

In 1984, Haitian launched the Haday Oyster Sauce product, which later became another well-known product to Chinese family.

In 1988, Haitian achieved the leading position in the Chinese condiment industry regarding production scale and sales volume.

1990S: GOING GLOBAL

In 1993, our product first entered international market by exporting to North America and Southeast Asia.

In 1999, Haitian placed advertisements during prime time on CCTV News and became a well-known seasoning brand in Chinese households.

2000S: BUILDING FOR SCALE

The first phase of the Haitian Gaoming production base was put into use in 2005, with an investment of 1 billion CNY and an annual production capacity of 1 million tons.

In 2006, Haday were recognized as the “Chinese Time- Honored Brand” by the Ministry of Commerce of PRC.

2010S: SUSTAINABLE GROWTH

In 2013, we were the first condiment company in China to achieve an annual sale revenue of 10 billion RMB. In the same year, we opened our factory, the Yummy’s Sunshine Castle, to the public. For over a decade, we have welcomed more than 2.8 million visitors and shared our soy sauce culture with them.

In 2014, Haitian became a public company and is listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

In 2017, After years of relentless effort in green production, Haitian was awarded as the national "green factory”.

In 2018, the annual sales revenue of Haitian reached 20 billion CNY.

2020S (LEADING WITH LIGHTHOUSE)

In 2025, Haitian Gaoming Factory was recognized as the “Lighthouse Factory” by the World Economic Forum for our excellence in sustainable and intelligent production.

In 2025, Haitian is listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange Market and attracts the attention of international investors.
